Sikkim is a state in northeast India, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet and Nepal. Part of the Himalayas, the area has a dramatic landscape that includes India’s highest mountain, 8,586m Kangchenjunga. Sikkim is also home to glaciers, alpine meadows and thousands of varieties of wildflowers. Steep paths lead to hilltop Buddhist monasteries such as Pemayangtse, which dates to the early 1700s.
“WELCOME TO GANGTOK”- Greet guest at the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) & further guest will be transferred to the prebooked hotel at Gangtok. Check in to the room and after refreshment guest can enjoy the time leisurely. In the evening famous MG Marg & try local cuisines, & relax in the charismatic environment. Overnight stay at Hotel in Gangtok.
Treat yourself with a delightful breakfast and proceed for a full day excursion tour of Gangtok covering the picturesque Tsomgo Lake that has an average depth of 50 ft. Spend some blissful moments at the banks of this serene lake and enjoy the mesmerising scenic beauty of the surrounding hills and pine trees. Next, seek blessings at Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, the renowned holy sanctum of Gangtok. Return to your hotel and call off the first day of your charming Sikkim vacation with a sound sleep. Optional: An inclusion of a detour to Nathula Pass to make your Sikkim tour more exciting (charges extra).
After breakfast guest will be picked up from the hotel & transfer to Lachen (9,285 ft.). En route visit Singhik, Butterfly Falls/Seven Sister Water Falls, Chungthang Confluence. and reach Lachen by evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachen.
Early Morning drive to Gurudongmar Lake which is 55 kms from Lachen, than visit Chopta Valley (13,225 ft.), Kala Pathar. Back to hotel and after lunch transfer to Lachung (8,175 ft).Reach Lachung by evening. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachung. Note: Kalapathar permit charges costs extra
After breakfast embark on a full day sightseeing tour of Lachung. Visit the Yumthang Valley, which is also known as the Valley of Flowers. Later visit the Zero point, which is a popular spot for adventure enthusiasts. After an eventful day head towards Gangtok for overnight stay. Note: Zero Point (Alt 15700 ft.) for Indian tourists only at an additional cost.
Early morning check out from Hotel and transfer to NJP/Bagdogra . Board your train/flight for your onward journey with wonderful memories.
